Community Guidelines

In order for English Wizards to remain a free service for schools and continuelly build & add value for it’s teachers whilst keeping prices as low as possible, everyone needs to comply with our community guidelines. Please take the time to read the following.

Respect and Professionalism

  • Respectful Communication: Always communicate respectfully and professionally with other members. Offensive language, personal attacks, or discriminatory remarks based on race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or any other personal characteristic will not be tolerated.
  • Constructive Feedback: Provide feedback that is constructive and aimed at fostering improvement and growth. Avoid overly critical or negative comments.
  • Personal Responsibility: Whilst we understand we operate in a very human industry. We employ empathy as much as we can, but at the forefront of a professional community that contains educators & educational institutions, we must hold everyone to a higher degree. Therefore, personal responsibility should be everyone’s first thought.
  • Respect Quality of Life: This one is very much for the schools & employers out there. Foreigners spend often thousands of euros and dollars to make a new life in Poland and provide their international-level experience for the betterment of Poland’s industries.  Professional adults should be given a salary that gives them a regular quality of life for full-time work.  As a business operating in your local community, you should know the average costs of accommodation.  A person’s accommodation should ideally never be more than 35% of their income; however, in some cases this can go upwards of 50% but never more. It’s not only Poland’s reputation on the line but also yours as if a teacher is not happy, they will leave. Teacher’s should not live like university students unless they choose to themselves.

Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Protect Personal Information: Do not share personal information of others without their consent. This includes but is not limited to addresses, phone numbers, and personal identification details.
  • Confidential Discussions: Respect the confidentiality of discussions related to sensitive topics such as immigration, accounting, and taxation. Do not disclose information shared in private groups or forums without permission.

Conflict of Interest

  • Products & services offered by English Wizards: Do not compete or actively work against English Wizards but rather support & promote teachers or yourselves from using them.
  • Products & Services:
    • Accountancy for US & EU citizens:  English Wizards provides a simply monthly subscription service that provides essential taxation & government reporting as well as an online platform for invoice creation.  This service is delivered in English and provides the customers with a western level of customer service.  Do not push customers to use your company accountant or any other services.  We also provide a myriad of tools & resource on our platform to help empower teachers to take control & responsibility for the management of their companies.
    • Luxmed & Private medical cover:  English Wizards has negotiated a national contract with Luxmed to ensure the cover is far more comprehensive & more cost efficient than what an individual person would be offered by going directly to Luxmed.  We’re also aware that some schools also offer Luxmed or other variations to their teachers which can still be maintained by simply adding either the partial or full amount of these services onto their monthly salary. Teachers will maintain their monthly sunscription with English Wizards where we provide customer service in managing their plan and answering questions.
    • Multisport: English Wizards has also negotiated a national agreement in order to provide it’s community with this service.  Schools are welcome to add this cost either partially or fully on top of the teachers salary so they can manage their own subscription directly with English Wizards. For schools that provide this service as well, we ask that you support the community by encouraging the before mentioned way.

Content Sharing

  • Relevant Content: Share content that is relevant to the platform’s purpose of supporting teachers and schools. Avoid posting unrelated advertisements, spam, or self-promotional content.
  • Copyrighted Material: Do not share copyrighted material without proper authorization. Always credit original creators and sources when sharing resources or information.

Collaboration and Support

  • Help and Support: Be willing to help and support other members. Share your knowledge and experience to assist others in managing immigration, arrival support, accounting, and taxation.
  • Positive Environment: Foster a positive and collaborative environment. Encourage and uplift fellow members through constructive interactions.

Use of Platform Resources

  • Ethical Use: Use the platform’s resources ethically and responsibly. Do not misuse the free tools and resources provided for personal gain beyond the intended use. This also includes sharing the content outside of the community as this compoetely devalues the tools, resources & community for others.
  • Reporting Issues: Report any issues or violations of these guidelines to the platform administrators promptly. This helps maintain a safe and respectful community.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

  • Legal Compliance: Ensure that all activities on the platform comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to those related to immigration, accounting, and taxation.
  • Accurate Information: Provide accurate and truthful information when sharing or discussing topics related to immigration, arrival support, accounting, and taxation.
  • Anti-Discrimination: Any discrimination based on any ground such as sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited. Please follow all EU guidelines here.  That being said, we understand that there are cultural & social nueances & differences that must be taken into consideration with some situations.  To understand how to manage the exepectations of everyone, include students & parents, please speak with English Wizards.

Engagement and Participation

  • Active Participation: Engage actively in discussions, forums, and events. Contribute to the community by sharing insights, asking questions, and participating in group activities.
  • Respect Event Rules: Follow the rules and guidelines of any specific events or activities hosted on the platform.
  • Questions about Immigration: Everyone’s immigration journey is unique and their own. So when asking questions in public spaces, you must keep your questions general, never specific, because there is no one else in your position.  For example, ”How long did you wait at this XX embassy for an appointment?” Totally fine!

Conflict Resolution

  • Address Conflicts Respectfully: If conflicts arise, address them respectfully and constructively. Seek to resolve disagreements through calm and reasoned discussion.
  • Seek Mediation: If needed, seek mediation from platform administrators to help resolve conflicts fairly and impartially.
  • Surprise Contract Terminations: If communication between both sides breaks down or one side feels unheard and not understood or feels there maybe considerable business damage, please contact admin@englishwizards.org so that we can mediate immediately to ensure students, parents, school owners & teachers do not suffer.

Enforcement of Guidelines

  • Monitoring and Enforcement: The platform administrators will monitor compliance with these guidelines. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from the platform.
  • Feedback and Revisions: The guidelines may be revised based on community feedback and evolving needs. Members are encouraged to provide input for continuous improvement.

By adhering to these community guidelines, schools and teachers can contribute to a thriving, supportive, and professional online community that benefits all members.
